The MakeUp in New York show will feature an interactive workshop at 10:15 am on Thursday, September 26th, presented by Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) students.

The presentation – called Faces of New York – will visually tell the story of New York City using the colors that represent its character, as well as the New Yorkers who live in different parts of the city.

A few different neighborhoods served as inspiration – SoHo, The Upper East Side, Williamsburg and the South Bronx.

The students created customized makeup palettes, representative of the character and personality of each neighborhood.

The students taking part of this workshop are members of FIT’s Cosmetic and Fragrance Management Association, a student run organization that focuses on building relationships and fostering leadership in the beauty industry.
